About Us

The Therapy Institute is a therapist owned private PT practice that has served the physical therapy needs of the Greater Lansing are since 1989. We provide a unique approach to physical therapy. We specialize in orthopedic, manual physical therapy. This approach emphasizes a hands-on approach to treatment and requires a physical therapy staff with many years of experience and a level of knowledge well beyond post graduate physical therapy education. Various members of our staff have received training internationally, are board certified as orthopedic physical therapists, have been awarded fellowship status in the practice of manual physical therapy, and teach at area physical therapy schools.

Our therapists work individually with each client at every session to create and implement a treatment plan that is unique, personalized and comprehensive. Clients are treated with a combination of manual physical therapy, exercise programs and education on how to avoid future occurrences. We schedule initial consultations with a therapist within 48 hours of referral.

The Therapy Institute has been recognized since 2006 as a Low Back Pain Center Of Excellence by Blue Care Network. We are one of only a handful of physical therapy facilities to receive this distinction.
